Kaspersky Antivirus Review
The anti-virus program from Kaspersky has high malware detection rates, and its additional security features (parental controls and backups, file shredding as well as a password manager, an VPN, a secure web browser and many more) are a great addition to other top products we’ve tested in our test. However, the software’s UI has some learning process and isn’t easy to get through, especially when you first install it. The interface, however, becomes user-friendly after a brief initial setup procedure and there are a variety of options for customization that allow you to tailor Kaspersky to your needs. Additionally, the Timeline and Notification Center located at the bottom of „Home“ allows you to manage important functions without leaving the main screen.
The image of the company suffered a blow after it was accused in 2017 of cooperating with the Russian government, and some countries had banned its software. Although that accusation wasn’t confirmed but the company has worked to rebuild its image and has launched its Global Transparency initiative so users can learn more about its source code, threat detection rules, and data collection methods.
All Kaspersky subscriptions provide real-time security on Windows, Mac and Android devices. Some plans include a dedicated antivirus app for iOS, which features automatic scanning and on-demand searches for settings, apps, and images. Certain premium plans (Internet Security and Total Security) add other important features, such as an app locker for storing and showing your private apps and parental controls.
